Okay, I don’t mean to boast but, my chocolate chip cookies are the bomb dot com. I love making them for any and all occasions. They fit into everything and everybody loves them (sorry I’m still boasting). Without further ado, (I’VE ALWAYS WANTED TO SAY THAT! IT’S LIKE MY FAVORITE WORD) I present to you my chocolate chip cookie recipe:
6 tablespoons butter soften
2/3 cup any type of oil
3/4 cup light brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg yolk
1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup cranberries or hazelnuts (optional)
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, mix together butter, sugar, and light brown sugar until somewhat smooth. In a seperate bowl, beat eggs, salt, and vanilla extract. Then, add egg mixture, flour, baking powder, and chocolate chips to the butter and sugar. Knead mixture until it forms a dough. On a baking sheet, roll dough into balls depending on the size you want. Make sure that you leave enough space for the cookies to spread. Lightly press on each ball before putting them into the oven.
Bakes for 10-14 minutes or until golden brown around edges. Keep an eye on them!
One batch makes about 20 cookies. Batch size varies depending on how large or small you shaped the cookies.
